Welcome to Zen’n’ish® | Loam Kaya™
Where ish becomes loam and your Zen takes root.
Currently clinically serving: Illinois, South Carolina, Vermont, and Idaho
“Every person carries the possibility of growth. Sometimes, what we need most is a place where we can feel safe enough to take root, supported enough to unfold, and free enough to become.”
-Zen’n’ish® | Loam Kaya™
“Together with the patient, a therapist looks at the nature of the pain. Often, the therapist can uncover causes of suffering that stem from the way the patient looks at things, the beliefs he holds about himself, his culture, and the world. The therapist examines these viewpoints and beliefs with the patient, and together they help free him from the kind of prison he has been in. But the patient’s efforts are crucial. A teacher has to give birth to the teacher within his student, and a psychotherapist has to give birth to the psychotherapist within his patient. The patient’s “internal psychotherapist” can then work full-time in a very effective way.”

Who We Are
Loam Kaya™ is the integrative home of Zen’n’ish®. Rooted in humanistic, person-centered psychology, our work honors the inherent worth, individuality, and capacity for growth within every person.
We offer evidence-informed psychotherapy integrating cognitive behavioral, experiential, relational, eco-somatic, and transpersonal perspectives, thoughtfully tailored to each client's needs.
Our holistic wellness offerings, including sound therapy and Reiki, provide additional opportunities for relaxation, reflection, and connection with self.
Care is compassionate, collaborative, and intentional. Your voice matters. Your experiences are honored. Your growth belongs to you.
Simple steps. Thoughtful support. Space to become.
Our Approach
Humanistic at heart. Integrative in practice. Grounded in you.
We believe meaningful therapeutic work begins with a relationship built on empathy, authenticity, respect, and trust.
Rather than approaching you as a collection of symptoms to be corrected, we seek to understand the whole person, including your experiences, relationships, values, strengths, and the environments that shape your life.
We blend clinical knowledge with compassionate exploration, embodied awareness, and practical strategies when appropriate.
We move at your pace, collaboratively establish goals, and recognize that progress may look different from one person to another.
Our purpose is not to decide who you should become, but to support your ability to discover, choose, and grow with greater clarity and confidence.
