Dr. KiKi

LaKisha C. Hudson, Ph.D., LCPC, LPC, CST, RCFI, CRC

Healing is not about becoming someone else. It is about discovering, understanding, and nurturing the person you are, while creating space for who you are becoming.

Meet Dr. LaKisha Hudson, affectionately known as Dr. KiKi, a licensed counselor, sex therapist, eco-psychotherapist, scholar-practitioner, and creator of Cyclical Gardening Therapy® (CGT®).

Dr. KiKi believes that every person brings a unique landscape of lived experiences, strengths, challenges, and possibilities into the therapeutic space. Her role is not to determine what your growth should look like, but to provide a safe, informed, and compassionate environment where you can explore your experiences, discover your own answers, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

A Humanistic Approach to Healing

Rooted in humanistic, person-centered psychology, Dr. KiKi's therapeutic philosophy honors your inherent worth, individuality, autonomy, and capacity for growth.

Her approach is integrative, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), experiential, existential, relational, somatically informed, and transpersonal perspectives. Rather than applying a single method to every person, she thoughtfully tailors the therapeutic experience to your individual needs, goals, and circumstances.

With a holistic appreciation for the connections among mind, body, spirit, relationships, and environment, Dr. KiKi believes meaningful change begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, respected, and empowered.

She also recognizes that growth is rarely linear. There may be seasons of discovery, uncertainty, challenge, rest, and renewal. Each deserves care, curiosity, and compassion.

Relationships, Intimacy, and the Whole Person

With specialized training in couples and sex therapy, Dr. KiKi works with individuals and partners navigating the complexities of relationships, intimacy, sexuality, and personal well-being.

Her work addresses concerns including communication, trust, infidelity, emotional disconnection, sexual desire, sexual functioning, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.

She provides LGBTQIA+ affirming, kink-aware, and consensual nonmonogamy-affirming care, recognizing that healthy relationships and authentic expressions of identity and intimacy do not follow a single blueprint.

Whether you are exploring your relationship with yourself, navigating challenges with a partner, or seeking a deeper understanding of your emotional and sexual well-being, your experiences are approached with openness, sensitivity, and respect.

Experience, Education, and an Integrative Perspective

Dr. KiKi brings extensive clinical training and interdisciplinary experience to her work. Her credentials include Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC, Illinois), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, South Carolina), AASECT Certified Sex Therapist (CST), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Registered Child Forensic Interviewer (RCFI), and licensed K-12 School Counselor.

Her additional training and professional practice encompass EMDR, sound therapy, and holistic wellness approaches. She is also a Reiki Master, integrating her knowledge of energy-based wellness practices into her broader philosophy of mind, body, and spirit connection.

As the creator of Cyclical Gardening Therapy® (CGT®), Dr. KiKi explores the relationship between personal growth, ecological awareness, connection, and the environments in which people live and thrive.

Her work reflects a commitment to ethical, evidence-informed psychotherapy, compassionate care, and an understanding of healing that extends beyond symptoms alone.

A Space to Be Seen, Heard, and Empowered

Dr. KiKi believes therapy is a collaborative journey, one in which your voice matters, your experiences are honored, and your growth remains your own.

You do not have to arrive with all the answers. You do not have to have everything figured out. And you do not have to become someone else's version of who you should be.

You deserve space to explore, question, reconnect, and grow at a pace that honors your needs.

Dr. KiKi provides psychotherapy to eligible clients in Illinois and South Carolina, with additional teletherapy authorization in Vermont and Idaho, subject to applicable licensure and client location requirements.

Wherever you are in your journey, you are welcome to begin with curiosity, compassion, and the possibility of what comes next.

Because your growth belongs to you.

Welcome to a space where you are seen, heard, and valued.

Welcome to Dr. KiKi's practice – your first step towards a more fulfilled, authentic self.
