Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy at Zen’n’ish® is a specialized form of clinical treatment focused on sexual health, sexual functioning, and the emotional and psychological factors that shape your erotic life.

While Sex & Intimacy Counseling looks at the broader emotional and relational connection between partners, Sex Therapy zeros in on specific sexual concerns, difficulties, and patterns that may be getting in the way of satisfaction, comfort, or pleasure.

As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, LaKisha “KiKi” Hudson, PhD, provides structured, evidence informed care for individuals, partners, and relationship constellations who want expert support around sexual health.

What Sex Therapy can help with

Sex Therapy can address a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Sexual functioning concerns
Low libido or low desire, erectile difficulties, premature or delayed ejaculation, orgasmic difficulties, arousal challenges, and pain related concerns as part of a broader care team

  • Desire discrepancies
Mismatches in sexual desire or interest between partners

  • Sexual avoidance or anxiety
Fear, shame, or discomfort related to sex, nudity, or touch

  • Trauma and past experiences
The impact of sexual trauma, relational trauma, or religious and cultural messaging on current sexual expression

  • Behavioral patterns
Sexual behaviors that feel compulsive, secretive, or misaligned with your values

  • Communication and exploration
Talking about needs, fantasies, boundaries, and curiosities in a way that feels safe and consent focused

Sex Therapy creates room to untangle what is happening physically, emotionally, and relationally, then move toward a sexual life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

How Sex Therapy works

Sex Therapy is always talk based and education based. There is no sexual contact, nudity, or sexual activity in session.

Together, we may work through:

  • Assessment
A thoughtful, respectful exploration of your sexual history, health, relationship dynamics, and relevant life experiences

  • Treatment planning
Collaborative goals that reflect your values, comfort level, and desired outcomes

  • Therapeutic approaches
Integrating sex therapy frameworks with modalities such as Mindfulness Cognitive Therapy, Eco Somatic Therapy, EMDR when appropriate, and other evidence informed practices

  • Psychoeducation
Clear, judgment free information about anatomy, arousal, desire, pleasure, and the nervous system

  • Home practices
At times, you may be offered exercises or practices to try between sessions, individually or with a partner, to help you apply what you are learning in real life

You set the pace. Nothing is ever forced, and consent is central to every step of the process.
